Eden Hazard named shirt swaps with former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and former Liverpool striker Christian Benteke as his favourites. Throughout his illustrious career, Hazard starred for clubs like Lille, Chelsea, Real Madrid and also Belgium at the international level.
The fleet-footed winger was regarded as one of the best players in world football at his peak. He fared against some of the top footballers from across the planet during his playing days.
The retired winger was asked by TNT Sports regarding his favourites shirts swaps. He named his international teammates Marouane Fellaini and Christian Benteke as his two favourite shirt swaps.
Hazard was asked:
"What was your favourite shirt swap that you did with another player?"He responded:
"Wow. There's a lot. I have been lucky I've played against my best friends, Benteke and Fellaini. So, yeah, those two."Hazard was the biggest star of Belgium's golden generation that failed to live up to their potential. Fellaini and Benteke, formerly of Manchester United and Liverpool respectively, were among Hazard's close friends at the international level.
The former Chelsea star played nine times against Benteke and took on Fellaini on seven occasions. On the other hand, he shared the pitch with Benteke on 51 occasions and Fellaini on 55 occasions.
Hazard spent the best years of his career at Chelsea between 2012 and 2019 before leaving for Real Madrid. He made 352 appearances for the Blues scoring 110 goals and providing 88 assists.
Robbie Fowler makes big claim about Liverpool and Manchester United as he criticizes the Reds' transfer policy
Robbie Fowler has hit out at his former club for their recruitment strategy. He has claimed that things are not the same while playing for Manchester United or Liverpool as that to playing for a smaller club.
The Reds surprised everyone by their massive outlay in the summer despite winning the Premier League title convincingly last season. They spent over £400 million on new signings but things haven't worked out for Arne Slot's side. While discussing his former club's poor form, Robbie Fowler said:
"I got asked before the game, 'Are Liverpool out of a little bit of a rut?' - and I thought don't be getting carried away. Okay, they beat Aston Villa, but for 45 minutes Liverpool weren't great, and then they beat Madrid. So it's only 45 minutes in a league game where they've played relatively okay. I think they're out of the title (race)."He added that the step up from a team like Bournemouth or Brentford to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United is a big one. He said:
"Frimpong is the biggest example; he was brought in as a Trent replacement, but he's a wing-back. And Kerkez, he was everyone's favorite left back last year. When you're playing for Liverpool or Man United, it's different playing for Bournemouth or Brentford, because there's more pressure."Following a solid start to the season, they have lost seven of their last ten games across all competitions. Big signings like Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong have all failed to live up to their transfer fee so far.
