Aaron Rodgers has just reunited with a former teammate from his days with the Green Bay Packers. After reports emerged last week on the possibility, the Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced the signing of Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the team's practice squad on Tuesday.
Valdes-Scantling has been on the roster of two NFC West teams this season, first the Seattle Seahawks and then the San Francisco 49ers. The veteran wide receiver hauled in four receptions for 40 yards with the 49ers before being released following a calf injury last month.
Selected by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft, Marquez Valdes-Scantling spent four years with the team, forming a crucial part of Aaron Rodgers' receiving options. He left Green Bay for Kansas City in 2022, winning two Super Bowls with the Chiefs.

It's not known yet whether Valdes-Scantling will be promoted to the team’s active roster, but he's bound to provide the needed depth in the wide receiver room. He's had a noteworthy career in the NFL, recording 209 receptions for 3,606 yards and 20 touchdowns in 111 games.
The signing of the wide receiver by the Steelers has generated a lot of reactions among fans online. While a section of the fans is elated with his reunion with Aaron Rodgers, others are not impressed with the quality of his signing. Here's a look at some of the reactions online:

Aaron Rodgers praises his teammates after Colts win
The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a statement win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The game finished 27-20 at the Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, boosting the momentum of the team. In his postgame press conference, Aaron Rodgers rained praises on his teammates for the iconic win.
“We started off pretty slow,” Rodgers said. “It was pretty ugly on offense for a decent part of the day. Had a lot of chances, but our defense played incredibly. After getting blasted for the last week, really proud of them. Thought the energy was great. Thought there was a good message last night by Jalen, and I think the guys responded well.”The Steelers currently sit at the top of the AFC North with a 5-3 record, and are looking to win the division for the first time since 2020. The win against the Colts gave a clue on what the team can do and how deep it can go in the playoffs this season, after falling out in the Wild Card in the last two seasons.
