The fights on offer weren't the only source of drama at UFC 322. Dillon Danis got embroiled in a brawl with Islam Makhachev's team, just as the main card bouts were about to start, with 'El Jefe' ultimately being removed from the arena.

Makhachev's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, has since issued a strongly worded message about the incident.

For context, Danis maintains a long-running rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team, a feud born from 'The Eagles' bad blood with Conor McGregor.

'El Jefe' has never missed an opportunity to throw shade at Nurmagomedov and his protege Makhachev, whether it be discrediting their fighting prowess or even reportedly using anti-Muslim slurs.

Retribution came crashing down on the jiu-jitsu star this weekend at Madison Square Garden as Team Khabib, led by Makhachev's sparing partner Magomed Zaynukov, swarmed him, forcing UFC security and even Dana White and Hunter Campbell to step in and break up the melee.

Now Abdelaziz has sent a stark warning on X, in light of the unfortunate incident:

"Last night at the fight was an unfortunate situation. In this internet world we live in, people think they can say anything, do anything, and bully others without consequences. But you have to understand - when you do something, you will be held accountable for it. Your words and actions towards people have a price."

Abdelaziz added:

"This is the same reason so many children around the world get bullied: nobody holds the bullies accountable. And especially with this team - they are some of the most respectful and honorable people you will ever meet. But don’t cross the line. If you do, you will face the consequences of your actions."

Islam Makhachev shares his take on Dillon Danis getting banned by the UFC

Islam Makhachev, for his part, is thrilled that Dillon Danis has been banned from attending future UFC events. Speaking to the press about his thoughts on the melee that transpired between his team and Danis, Makhachev said:

"When you talk about someone for the last five years, when you meet them, you have to answer to what you said. And today, I don't think he answered, and he still says a lot of bad things about our team, and today when he came, somebody just met him, that's it."

When a journalist informed Makhachev that Danis had been banned from attending UFC events going forward, the newly minted welterweight champion added:

"He has to be banned from this country also."
