This season has been chaotic for the Cleveland Browns. The spotlight on rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the team’s disappointing record are major factors for it.
Some fans have suggested a shake-up amid the drama. They mentioned that Shedeur’s father, Colorado coach Deion Sanders, should replace Browns coach Kevin Stefanski.
Cleveland Sports Talk reported on X on Monday that ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith also suggested that the Pro Football Hall of Famer would be the right choice.

Sports journalist Jason Whitlock was unsure if Smith said it or not.
"Did he really say this?" Whitlock tweeted.Smith has long questioned Sanders' coaching style. He believes the flashy approach with the Buffaloes focuses more on hype and branding than on solid football fundamentals.
Fox Sports’ Nick Wright thinks bringing Sanders and his son together in Cleveland would recreate the magic that produced Colorado's 9-4 season in 2024.
It might not be a logical thing for the Browns to hire Deion Sanders
The idea of Deion Sanders leading the Cleveland Browns has generated a lot of buzz, but there are also issues with it.
He still has four years left on his Colorado contract, which carries a $33.6 million buyout. Sanders' lack of pro coaching experience and the salary he would ask also hinders a potential move.
There is also little evidence that Sanders would bring a winning culture to Cleveland. The Buffaloes have posted records of 4-8 (1-8 Pac-12), 9-4 (7-2 Big 12) and 3-9 (1-8) under him.
Coach Prime's health is also a concern beyond performance. He had his bladder removed after cancer treatment last year, and he continues to deal with blood clots in his legs.
However, should Sanders be named the Browns’ coach, there are reasons to believe he would know how to get the best out of his son. His Hall of Fame status could also make the team more appealing to elite free agents. They may see him as a more enticing leader than Kevin Stefanski.
