Did Adam Peaty change his name after marrying Holly Ramsay? Here's how the swimmer copied Brooklyn Beckham amid family feud 

Adam Peaty has followed Brooklyn Beckham's footsteps by adding his wife Holly Ramsay's surname to his name after marriage. Holly is the daughter of popular food critic and chef Gordon Ramsay.

On December 27, Adam Peaty tied the knot with Holly Ramsay at Bath Abbey. According to the Daily Mail, the popular swimmer uninvited his mother, Caroline, and the entire Peaty family from the wedding proceedings. His sister, Beth, was present at the wedding as a bridesmaid.

Peaty reportedly invited his father, Mark, to also attend, although he was told to sit at the back with the plus ones. Another report from The Sun claims Peaty also allegedly blocked his family from contacting him.

After his wedding, Adam Peaty made a statement by changing his name on Instagram. The swimmer added his wife's surname, Ramsay, to his name, making it Adam Peaty Ramsay.

Peaty's gestures matched those of football legend David Beckham's son, Brooklyn Beckham. The Inter Miami co-owner's eldest son also added his wife, Nicola Peltz's, surname to his name after their marriage in 2022. Further, Brooklyn has also distanced himself from his family after his marriage, much like Peaty.

The Daily Mail reported that Peaty's mother was heartbroken by the proceedings while being at Staffordshire during the wedding. Moreover, Holly's father, Gordon Ramsay, also took shots at the Peaty family during his speech at his daughter's wedding.

In his wedding speech (as quoted via The Sun), Gordon Ramsay took an alleged dig at Adam Peaty's family, who were uninvited to the wedding after a reported fallout. The celebrity chef claimed his wife, Tana, could be a great mother to his daughter and son-in-law.

"Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to. Shame you don’t have the same," Ramsay said.

As friends of the Ramsay family, David and Victoria Beckham were also present at the wedding amid their family feud with Brooklyn Beckham. Victoria also designed the maids of honor's red dresses. Reports from The Sun noted that a source said they were among the last to leave and spent a lot of time mingling on the dance floor.

Another source close to the Ramsay family reportedly mentioned that Adam Peaty also uninvited her great-aunt Janet and her husband, Eddie. The couple has allegedly booked accommodation for the wedding. Janet sent a message to Peaty moments before the wedding, but the Olympic medalist reportedly missed it as he blocked his family from texting him.

During his wedding speech, Peaty reportedly did not mention his family. Instead, he thanked his coach, Mel Marshall, for being "like a mum" to him. He also mentioned that Marshall grounded and inspired him by being his "everything." Marshall returned the love, as she recalled how she is proud of Peaty, having seen him win 100 metres breaststroke gold at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.
