Devin Booker has been the Phoenix Suns' star player since he was drafted in 2015. He has remained loyal to the team, as he is one of the longest-serving players for one team in the NBA today; the only players with more years with one team under their belt are Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Joel Embiid.
Booker has continued to remain loyal to the Suns because he wants to deliver a championship to Phoenix. He came two games away back in 2021, but the Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in a six-game series during the NBA Finals.
Devin Booker is not giving up on his goal of winning a title in Phoenix
Booker has cemented himself as one of the best shooting guards of his generation. He is a superb scorer, but he has also grown as a playmaker and leader for the Suns. Unfortunately, that has not led to the success he is aiming for.
The 2020-21 season has been the most successful campaign Booker has had with the Suns. During that time, he had a strong supporting cast with Chris Paul, Mikal Bridges, and an in-form Deandre Ayton. Unfortunately, they never returned to that level even with Kevin Durant on the roster.

Now that Booker and the Suns are seen as a middle-of-the-road team, the objective of winning a championship is still quite far away. That is unfortunate for Booker, who wants to succeed with the franchise that drafted him. There will always be rumors of him asking out, but it seems Booker is still intent on his goal of winning with the Suns.
"That’s my everyday pursuit, to bring one home here… I know what it’d mean to this city, I know what it’d mean to everyone around here. It’s my responsibility to get that done," Booker said about his goal to win in Phoenix via Arizona Family Sports.
Anything is possible, especially if the Suns play well in the 2026-27 NBA season. It will certainly be an uphill journey, but if Booker can continue to play as well as he has over recent years, he can still lead his team to some solid success.
