Destiny 2 Dawning 2025 currency guide: How to earn and usages

The Destiny 2 Dawning event in 2025 comes with several currencies to work your way around. There are three main currencies to look out for, aside from the usual ingredients that are used to bake cookies. The main currencies include Dawning Spirit and Essence of Dawning. Note that the baking ingredients for cookies doesn't count as primary currency in Dawning, as they can farmed passively by simply playing the game.

This article focuses on the two main currencies in Dawning, which will help you unlock all the upgrades from Eva Levante quickly, and bake every cookie to masterwork your Oven.

Currency farming guide in Destiny 2: Dawning 2025

Here is list of tasks you can do to earn your basic Dawning currencies in 2025:

Dawning Spirit:

Dawning Spirit is the purple currency from the event that can be earned in smaller numbers. However, to get them in a more guaranteed manner, you will need an Exotic Ship equipped, called Starfarer 7M. To get this ship, go to Collections>Equipments>Ships>Season 12, and then claim the Starfarer 7M.

Collecting a baking ingredient every time while having this ship equipped will grant you a Dawning Spirit. The ingredient, however, can be anything as long as you are following a recipe from the Oven's cookie menu.

There are daily and weekly challenges that are granting five and 30 Spirits respectively, making them a solid source for the currency.

Lastly, you can get a tiny amount of Dawning Spirit every time you gift a cookie to a NPC, alongside a return-gift box.

You will need to have 150 Dawning Spirits in total to purchase every upgrade from Eva Levante.

The Essence of Dawning is the blue currency that can be used to bake different cookies in the Oven. After baking all the cookies once, your Oven can then be masterworked, and the Essence cost for each cookie reduces.

Two of the best farms for Essence of Dawning includes the Dul Incaru final boss encounter in the Shattered Thrones Dungeon, and Board the Harvester opening encounter in the new Equilibrium Dungeon.

For the boss fight, you will need a checkpoint, and bounce it between your alternate characters, or your fireteam members, and run the fight until you get a decent amount of Essence for all of your upgrades.
