Bo Bichette’s postgame comments after Toronto’s World Series loss carried weight and had fans reading into every line about his future. The shortstop, who blasted a huge three-run homer in Game 7, addressed the media.
"I’ll remember this group forever." Bichette said on Saturday.h"This group has taught me what a team is. I think it’s probably the most valuable lesson of my career."The heartfelt comments came as Bichette is now one a free agent facing the toughest decision of his career. He'll need to choose whether to stay in Toronto or test the open market.

Fans weighed in and shared their reactions, which wasn't surprising after watching a World Series slip away from the Blue Jays by inches.
When the idea of him hitting free agency came up, the usual big-market suspects popped into the conversation. The Dodgers and Yankees were mentioned, with their fans expecting him to walk through their doors in the winter.
“Sounds a whole lot like a goodbye … Jays management couldn’t have fumbled more on Vlad and him ..vlad could have been signed at half the cost and Bo about to get a max when we could had him for less,” a fan wrote.@KeeganMatheson Sounds a whole lot like a good bye ...jays management couldn't of fumbled more on vlad and him ..vlad could have been signed at half the cost and Bo about to get a max when we could had him for less
Blue Jays face pressure to make a decision on Bo Bichette’s future
Toronto made its big move in April when it handed Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a $500 million extension, keeping him from hitting the open market.
At the time, Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins made it clear he hoped Bo Bichette would be next. They spoke, tried and the interest was there, but months later, nothing has come to fruition.
"The interest is definitely there," Atkins said in April, via Jays Centre. "It's also our vision for (Vlady and Bo) to continue to play together. We will do everything in our power to see if we can line up."Toronto still holds exclusive negotiating rights with Bichette for a few more days, but once that window closes, things get messy. If the two sides can’t bridge the gap, the Jays may have to turn the page quickly.
