Dak Prescott reveals 1 Cowboys player that makes his 'job easy'

It has only been eight games, but you can already state that the Dallas Cowboys have "won" the George Pickens trade, with the receiver being exactly who some thought he would be - a menace on the field.

Already with a career-high six touchdowns to go with his 685 yards from 43 receptions, Pickens has been one of Dak Prescott's most dependable weapons, and considering he has CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson, that is a feather in George's cap.

Some were skeptical of the move for Pickens, given the narrative surrounding his personality, but George has been nothing but a positive influence, and he's making life easy for Dak as well.

“He just makes my job easy,” Prescott said. “From how much space he can create and how well he gets open and the ability to not even have 50/50 type jump balls, right? We know they're more 70/30 if not higher because of a penalty opportunity thrown in there. he's a special player.”

Should Cowboys extend Pickens?

If it were me, I'd have a contract in front of Pickens today, given how he has meshed with Lamb and Prescott. The trio would be together for the next couple of years to try to bring something to Dallas.

That would then leave the free agency period and draft in the offseason to focus on the defense, which right now is really poor.

Money will be a factor, and right now, Pickens is a $30 million APY receiver, if not more, and he has shown time and time again through the first eight weeks what an incredible asset he has been for Dak and Brian Schottenheimer.

We know Dallas and contract extensions don't go well together, but with each passing week, George's price goes up. Yes, he stated he wanted to wait until the offseason to discuss his future, but the Cowboys, if they have any intention of keeping George around, need to sort his future out now.
