Currently absent WWE star makes public appearance despite suffering near career-ending injury

A top WWE star has been out of action due to a near career-ending injury. Despite this, she recently made a public appearance.

Piper Niven's WWE career has been on the rise ever since she aligned herself with Chelsea Green. Their duo had an entertaining dynamic, and the fans loved them. After Piper Niven transformed herself into a Slaygent following Chelsea Green winning the Women's United States Championship, her career started to take off. She even picked up a huge win against Charlotte Flair on the 22nd August episode of SmackDown. While it looked like the Stamford-based promotion was on the verge of pushing Piper, she wasn't seen on TV since the attack. It was then reported that Niven suffered a serious neck injury and would be sidelined for the time being. Not much is known about the extent of her injury other than the fact that it has been described as career-threatening.

Amid her injury status, Piper Niven was one of the bridesmaids during Steph De Lander's wedding to Mance Warner. Steph shared some behind-the-scenes pictures of her wedding day, which also showcased the SmackDown star.

Chelsea Green has been looking for Piper Niven's replacement on WWE SmackDown

Piper Niven's injury might be a lot more serious than initially thought, and she could be out of action for a considerable amount of time. Therefore, in recent weeks, WWE has acknowledged Piper's absence on the blue brand by having Chelsea Green issue flyers for her replacement backstage.

She also made offers to several women over the weeks to become a Slaygent. However, there have been no takers for her offer.

It remains to be seen if this means that Niven is no longer going to be part of the Secret Hervice after returning from injury.
