Nearly a day after news of his contract extension with the Chicago Cubs was initially reported, the length and salary for the deal has finally emerged.
And it's a lot.

Pete Crow-Armstrong contract details
- Years: 6
- Salary: $115 million
The deal kicks in for the 2027 season, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan, and will pay PCA nearly $19.2 million per season over the length of the extension.
Crow-Armstrong will hit free agency before his age-31 season.
Passan adds that the deal doesn't include a club option, which is "rare."
"This is by far the biggest guarantee for a player with five years of club control that doesn’t include an option," Passan wrote on X. "Cubs were still fine with it. They get a high-floor player with superstar ceiling."
Pete Crow-Armstrong stats
PCA will turn 24 on Wednesday and is already one of baseball's best players.
He was worth 6.0 Wins Above Replacement in a 2025 season that included 31 home runs, 35 steals, 91 runs, 95 RBI and a Gold Glove in centerfield.
He's got as much power and speed as anyone in the game, and when the ball is hit to centerfield, he almost always runs it down.
Now, he's got the contract to go along with his All-Star status.
