Over the past few years, the Oklahoma City Thunder have developed a strong defensive structure centred on physicality. Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, and Cason Wallace are all phenomenal defenders, but they can get away with tons of contact that other teams and coaches are annoyed with.
One of them was Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse. He disliked what the Thunder were doing because he felt the number of fouls being called against Philly was disproportionate. He made sure to tell that to the referee, as he felt the 76ers were getting the short end of the stick.
Nick Nurse's emphatic complaints about OKC go viral
The Thunder have been the NBA's best team of the past two seasons. They are the defending champions, and they did that through their elite defense. Of course, they have arguably the best player in the league with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. However, they have some elite defenders alongside him.
There is also a reputation around OKC regarding their dynamic with fouls. They tend to get away with their physicality, as Dort, Caruso, and Wallace all play physical defense, and the referees give them some leeway. That irks a lot of people, especially the opponents they have played against.

The most recognizable person who has gone against the Thunder is Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch. He got himself ejected one because of his constant complaints about OKC's defense. At the same time, OKC tends to get away with plenty of fouls called for them, as seen with SGA's natural ability to draw fouls.
Nurse had enough when the 76ers played against the Thunder on Monday.
"They are not perfect. They are not perfect. They foul too! They foul too, though," Nurse said with passion to the referee during the Philly's game against OKC.
Moving forward, this could make more referees aware of what the Thunder are getting away with at times. Of course, there are plenty of times that the referees make the right call with the Thunder, but with multiple teams and coaches complaining about them, the referees might need to step in.
