Caitlin Clark continued to be ahead of Angel Reese and other WNBA stars in terms of earnings despite missing the majority of last season. Clark was the highest-earning player in the league, with fans being shocked that some of the big names didn't make the list.
Forbes has released its list for the world's Top 20 highest-paid female athletes, which was led by tennis star Coco Gauff. The list was dominated by tennis players, but the WNBA had four representatives, including Clark at No. 11, Sabrina Ionescu at No. 13, Reese at No. 15 and Paige Bueckers.
All four players earned the majority of their money outside basketball due to how low WNBA salaries are. Clark earned $12.1 million, Ionescu earned $10.5 million, Reese earned $9.4 million and Bueckers earned $9.1 million.
WNBA fans were surprised that the league's best players, like A'ja Wilson and Napheesa Collier, didn't make the list. It's no secret that Caitlin Clark topped the list since she's the most popular women's basketball player on the planet.
Angel Reese knows how to grow her brand, Sabrina Ionescu has a popular shoe line with Nike and Paige Bueckers has been popular since college. Let's look at some of the comments on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Crazy Af A’ja and Phee not here
Here is the PROOF of what these 4 women have increased the overall REVENUE FOR THE WNBA AS A WHOLE, THEY'RE also many OTHER WOMEN THAT COLLECTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO THE INCREASE REVENUE N GLOBAL REACH OF THE WNBA🙏🏾👊🏾💪🏾🤙🏾PAY THESE WOMEN NOW
When CCs line drops its chaos. Waiting on her shoe like hot cakes
No wonder A'ja is an a'hole.
They only remember A'ja is the best player when it's time to downplay Caitlin Clark... meanwhile Kate Martin outsold her in Jersey sales lmao. you will never see them asking why Angel or Paige make more than M'vp...
Whole time A’ja, Phee and Stewie should be on this list too
Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers don't have signature shoes yet, so their earnings are likely to increase once they get theirs from Nike. A'ja Wilson had her signature shoe introduced this year, so her earnings will likely get an increase as well.
Angel Reese continues to thrive off the court, so it won't be surprising if WNBA players make the leap next year. Even an upcoming salary increase once the new CBA gets signed would help tremendously.
Caitlin Clark returned to basketball at Team USA training camp

She hasn't played since July due to a second groin injury and then spraining her ankle during her recovery. She finally returned to the court during Team USA's training camp from Dec. 12 to 14 at Durham, North Carolina.
Clark looked rusty at times, but she was still making shots and passing the ball at an elite level. She teamed up with players like Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, Sonia Citron and Aliyah Boston during scrimmage.
Team USA is set to announce the final roster for the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup next year.
