Could Odell Beckham Jr. have another 1,000 yard season with Giants?

Odell Beckham Jr. got two pieces of good news on Sunday. 

First, he made the 53-man roster with the Giants. 

Second, he might get his signature No. 13 back after Jalin Hyatt, who wore the number since 2023, will be waived. 

And with OBJ donning the same colors and same number as he did when he was a two-time All-Pro, could he also revive his career on the field? 

The short answer? Probably not. 

The last time Beckham Jr. had 1,000 yards was 2019 with Cleveland. His best season was in 2015 when he went for 1,450 yards and 13 TD's as a Giant. 

He's now 33 years old and unlikely to put up similar numbers. 

But let's make the case anyway. 

OBJ hasn't played a full NFL season since 2019. In 2025 he was on a roster, the Miami Dolphins, but barely played. He never started a game, ending the season with 9 receptions on 55 yards.

You could say Beckham Jr. had a restful season. He trained with the team and went through the motions of a season. 

Now he's on a Giants roster that desperately needs production.

Malik Nabers has returned from a torn ACL but he's expected to ramp up as the season goes on. Malachi Fields is a rookie who will take time to develop chemistry with Jaxson Dart. Calvin Austin suffered a season-ending injury and will make a home on the IR.

That leaves OBJ, who has had some decent moments in preseason, to eat up targets. 

If he could remain healthy, which is a MASSIVE if, Beckham Jr. would be in line for opportunities to get close to 1,000 yards. 

It's a longshot but if the Giants didn't believe in the veteran they wouldn't have kept him. 

Odell might just run back the clock with his old number, but Giants fans hope he can hit rewind on the field too.
