Cooper Flagg led the Dallas Mavericks' charge against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center on Monday. Flagg was in the starting lineup alongside Moussa Cisse, Max Christie, Brandon Williams and P.J. Washington. The rookie sensation entered the game high on confidence after a stellar performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Flagg wasted no time in opening his account in the scorer's column, quickly getting off the mark with a bucket from inside the arc. The former Duke phenom missed his second shot from the floor as the Mavericks fell into a 34-21 hole after the first quarter.
The Mavericks forward knocked down his first 3-pointer of the night in the second quarter. He missed one of his two attempts in the period, while making one of two free throws.
At halftime, Cooper Flagg had six points on 2-of-4 shooting, including 1-of-1 from 3-point range, along with one rebound in 16 minutes.
