After missing time with a hamstring injury, Jayden Daniels returns to boost chances for the Washington Commanders against a rested Seattle Seahawks team on Sunday Night Football.
Daniels looked sharp before the setbacks, throwing eight touchdowns to one pick while adding 211 yards on the ground. But with the Commanders (3-5) riding a three-game skid, his margin for error is thin. Dan Quinn’s defense has struggled to keep opponents under 25 points, and Washington’s offense hasn’t looked the same without Daniels’ mobility to bail out broken plays.
Seattle (5-2), meanwhile, will be fresh off a bye, looking like one of the NFC’s most balanced teams. Sam Darnold has quietly stabilized the offense, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is turning into a full-blown problem for secondaries after leading the league in receiving yards through eight weeks.
If the Commanders can’t pressure Darnold early or keep Daniels upright, this could turn into another long night for D.C.
