The Chicago Bears are hoping to make another jump this year, but they may have to deal with an injury to one of their biggest offseason additions.

Safety Coby Bryant needed to be helped off the field during practice last week after suffering a lower-body injury. Bryant signed a multi-year deal with the Bears in March after winning a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks last season.

For the Bears' defense to take a step forward, Bryant's health is crucial in the secondary. Therefore, Bryant missing any amount of time would be a tough loss for Chicago heading into the 2026 season. After what was first a relieving diagnosis, Bryant's latest update is much more concerning.

Here's the latest on Bryant's injury status.
