Saturday Night's Main Event XLI ended with CM Punk becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Jey Uso in the high-stakes main event to capture the title. But Jey could capture the gold from his rival as early as this week's RAW.

While the WWE Universe is now expecting Punk to have a lengthy reign as champion, he might drop the title to the 40-year-old superstar on tonight's episode of RAW in a shocking twist. After returning to the Stamford-based promotion in 2023, The Second City Saint had been aiming to become world champion. Sadly, his journey had been obstructed by Seth Rollins.

The Visionary had sworn never to allow The Best in the World to achieve his championship dream before he got hurt. After costing CM Punk a potential Undisputed WWE Championship win over John Cena at Night of Champions, The Visionary spoiled Punk's huge moment at SummerSlam.

Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on the Chicago native to become the World Heavyweight Champion, shortly after the 47-year-old defeated Gunther for the title. However, The Second City Saint finally earned himself a shot at Rollins' gold before the latter was forced to vacate the championship due to injury. At SNME XLI, Punk defeated Jey Uso to finally get the job done.

On tonight's episode of RAW, Jey might request a rematch against the World Heavyweight Champion with the title on the line. In a jaw-dropping twist, the 40-year-old could unexpectedly steal the victory from Punk to regain the gold. After weeks of hints, Main Event Jey could finally embrace his dark side and use underhanded tactics to dethrone Punk.

If this happens, it might spark an intriguing feud between the veterans on the red brand. Interestingly, it could lead to the return of Roman Reigns, who could finally crown The YEET Master OTC2 as part of a blockbuster storyline. Reigns could be Jey's Wiseman in his mission to dominate RAW as its top champion.

As of now, this angle is speculative, and fans will have to wait and see how things play out on tonight's episode of RAW.

Joey Janela reveals he has no real-life issues with CM Punk

CM Punk signed with AEW in 2021 before his departure in 2023 and subsequent return to WWE. Despite achieving great success during his time in the Jacksonville-based company, he had real-life issues with several wrestlers, including The Young Bucks and Jack Perry.

On X/Twitter, Joey Janela, who worked for AEW for a couple of years, revealed he had no real-life problems with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. After being asked by a fan what he thought about The Second City Saint, Janela wrote:

"No issues with him at all, could've been different if I stuck around AEW because of my close friendship with Jack. Always a big fan since I was a teenager, had all his best DVDs."

That said, it will be interesting to see what plans the creative team has in store for CM Punk as the World Heavyweight Champion.
