Chris Paul shares stunning message on Duke Blue Devils basketball legend Cooper Flagg after L.A. workouts

With the NBA Draft under three weeks away, the era of Cooper Flagg is rapidly approaching. Unless Mavericks GM Nico Harrison does the unthinkable, the Duke phenom will be the king of Dallas, joining Anthony Davis in one of the league's most exciting frontcourts.

But what should Mavs fans expect from Flagg right out of the gate?

At the typical age of a college freshman, can Flagg truly jump to the next level and be an impact player immediately?

A future first-ballot Hall of Famer just saw the former Blue Devil up close and shared a glowing review about Flagg as a prospect.

While a guest on "The Pat McAfee Show," Chris Paul gave Flagg a stellar endorsement.

"I'm in LA right now, and Cooper Flagg has been out there, and he's as real as advertised,” Paul said.

Paul's been in the NBA longer than Flagg's been alive and went out of his way in the interview to give the youngster his flowers.

Since coming out of Wake Forest, many teammates and coaches have praised Paul's sharp basketball mind, so this level of approval, although common, should only raise Flagg's stock higher in league circles.

Paul is entering free agency, and although he's hinted in the same McAfee segment that he'd like to stay home in LA, could he be intrigued by throwing lobs to Flagg every night?

He is familiar with the state of Texas after his recent stint with San Antonio, and if Kyrie Irving can come back next season, the club will be a fringe title contender.

Seeing the Paul and Flagg pick-and-roll would be magic. Maybe one day we’ll see it before Paul calls it a career.
