Cristiano Ronaldo has finally put the transfer talk to rest — he’s staying at Al Nassr.

The 40-year-old forward has confirmed that he won’t be leaving the Saudi club, despite plenty of noise linking him with a Club World Cup side and even a return to Europe.

The rumors started swirling after Ronaldo’s emotional post following Al Nassr’s final game of the season. “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all,” he posted on X.

That had fans and media alike wondering if his time in Saudi Arabia was coming to an end.

To add to the drama, FIFA president Gianni Infantino threw fuel on the fire by suggesting Ronaldo might play in the Club World Cup. That didn’t happen.

Instead, Ronaldo took matters into his own hands after Portugal’s Nations League triumph over Spain. “My future? Basically nothing is gonna change. Staying at Al Nassr? Yea,” he said.

It hasn’t all gone Ronaldo’s way in Saudi Arabia. While his goal-scoring has stayed sharp — 93 goals in 105 games — team success has been missing. Al Nassr haven’t lifted a trophy since his arrival in late 2022.

Still, the man known for rewriting record books believes in the project. After scoring in the final against Spain to help Portugal claim another trophy, Ronaldo made it clear where his focus lies.

“The tears were of joy,” he said after the win. “When you win something for Portugal, it's always special… but there's nothing like winning for the national team.”

His confirmation should settle nerves in Riyadh, and rumors of a move to Al Hilal or elsewhere can be shelved—for now.

Reports say Ronaldo is considering a fresh deal worth £167 million a year to continue in the Saudi Pro League. That’s not just GOAT money — that’s Gulf money.
