Chiefs' Travis Kelce ready to roll for potential 2026 swansong

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made Year 14 official with the signing of his contract, as he is set to go around at least one more year.

Many thought Kelce would ride off into the sunset after the horror 2025 season that saw the Chiefs miss the playoffs, but the fire still burns bright for the veteran.

A one-year, $12 million deal with another $3 million in incentives was signed, per insider Ari Meirov, as Kelce looks to be a key playmaker again for Andy Reid.

And I think he's ready to roll for 2026.

“Chiefs Kingdom! Let’s go baby! It’s official,” Kelce said in a video to fans. “Excited for 2026, and just excited to put on the Chiefs uniform in front of you guys again. Let’s get Arrowhead rockin’, baby. We’ll see you guys in a few months.”

Can Kelce lift Chiefs offense?

Absolutely, he can, and let's not forget, he led the Chiefs' offense in all major categories last season as well.

But the good thing is he won't have to do it himself. With Kenneth Walker now signed, along with Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, the Chiefs have a good nucleus of weapons.

How healthy Patrick Mahomes will be is a fascinating watch, but Kelce will be riding alongside his best friend in 2026.

We thought last season was the end for Kelce, but he's going around again, and he can't be more excited.
