Things haven’t gone especially well for the Philadelphia 76ers since February’s NBA trade deadline – key contributors have been out, losses have been mounting and the Sixers have slipped in the standings in the Eastern Conference.
As a result, they were called out for their post-deadline struggles.
76ers named second-most disappointing team since NBA trade deadline
The Sixers were recently ranked the second-most disappointing team since the trade deadline by Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report. The Denver Nuggets are the only team that has been more disappointing than the Sixers during that time period in the eyes of Swartz.
“Life in Philly since early February has been nothing short of a disaster, however,” Swartz wrote.
“The Sixers are 8-11 with a minus-7.2 net rating, sliding down to ninth place in the East. Embiid has played in just two games since the deadline with an oblique injury, and Maxey is currently sidelined with a tendon injury in his right pinkie finger. Philly made the surprising decision to become sellers at the deadline, trading Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for draft picks.”
