It's no secret that the Kansas City Chiefs' biggest offseason need, especially on the offensive side of the ball, is running back.
Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco have been serviceable, but both are free agents and don't give the Chiefs any fear-factor out of the backfield.
The franchise tried to trade for Breece Hall before the deadline last season, but that fell through.
So, what about now?
Well, ESPN's Matt Bowen has named the Chiefs as the best landing spot for Jacksonville Jaguars impending free agent Travis Etienne Jr.
"Etienne has the play speed to upgrade a Chiefs run game that ranked 25th last season (106.6 yards per game)," Bowen wrote. "And with his dual-threat ability as a pass catcher, Etienne would be schemed on screens and backfield releases in coach Andy Reid's system.
"This is a move to add more juice and big-play ability to the Kansas City offense. Etienne's 26 rushes of 10 or more yards with Jacksonville tied for 12th in the NFL last season."

Chiefs need injection of electricity
And that's Etienne.
His burst as a runner means he could be a home-run threat on any given run play. Not to mention his ability as a receiver, too.
In the last two seasons, Etienne has posted 52 receptions and at least 250 yards, and he also posted 6 TDs last year as well.
So, there is a clear need for Etienne in Kansas City, and we imagine the Jaguars will want to retain his services, but there is no doubt that the Chiefs should be up to their eyeballs in trying to get Etienne in the building.
