Buffalo Bills, Mike Evans rumors heat up after latest ESPN prediction

The Buffalo Bills are in need of help at the receiver position. Since trading Stefon Diggs in 2024, the Bills have failed to add a star receiver to their offense, which has come back to haunt them in the postseason. Now, after firing Sean McDermott and beginning a new era under Joe Brady, the Bills must bring in a proven No. 1 wideout for Josh Allen.

In a recent piece for ESPN, Matt Bowen listed his top 50 NFL free agents and their best landing spot, and he named the Bills as the perfect team for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.

"A return to Tampa Bay is clearly an option for Evans, but becoming the top receiver in Buffalo with quarterback Josh Allen makes a lot of sense, too," Bowen writes. "Under new coach Joe Brady, Evans could be that boundary X target for Allen and create matchups in the low red zone. I like the idea of Buffalo getting aggressive to add a proven and reliable target who had topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark in 11 straight seasons before injuries derailed his 2025 campaign."

Evans already has one Super Bowl to his name, helping the Buccaneers win a championship back in 2020. Six years later, should he decide to go to Buffalo, he could be one of the pieces that gets the Bills over the top.
