Whether it is in the next week or during the summer, the expectation is that Giannis Antetokounmpo will eventually part ways with the Bucks.
However, there are more transactions and decisions to be made than just finding a solution for Giannis.
Bucks showing interest in former 24 PPG guard
According to NBA insider Michael Scotto, the Bucks have Cam Thomas on their radar ahead of the trade deadline.
Thomas is set to become a free agent this summer, but is currently on a cheap expiring contract.

Scotto mentioned that Thomas has a no-trade clause on his contract, so he can control whether or not the Nets move him, as he is set to hit the open market as an UFA this summer.
If the Bucks offload Giannis and his contract, they'll have more room and flexibility to sign a player like Thomas to a long-term deal, as they'd likely start a rebuild/roster reconstruction phase.
There are several other large contracts the Bucks could look to part ways with, and Thomas could play an important role on the team next year if he goes to Milwaukee.
The Nets have seemed to be nearing the end of their relationship with Thomas for a while now, so it would be very realistic for them to try to get some value back for Thomas, as it doesn't appear that the Nets will look to bring him back this offseason.
