Browns' Myles Garrett makes NFL history with six-season sack streak

The Cleveland Browns are 2-7 and haven't had a lot to cheer for during the 2025 NFL season. But if there was one reason to tune in every week, it would be for All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett.

He's been one of the best defensive players in the NFL the last few seasons, and is one of the best sack artists during his nine-year NFL career.

During the Browns' Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, he recorded his 12th sack of his season, which made for NFL history. As Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team notes, Garrett's 12th sack gave him his sixth-straight season with 12 sacks, making NFL history.

No other player in NFL history has ever had at least 12 sacks in six straight seasons. He leads the NFL with 13 sacks, after notching another on Lamar Jackson on a later drive.

But that 12th sack was enough to set NFL history. After seven sacks in his rookie year and 13.5 in year two with a Pro Bowl nod, his 10-sack 2019 season was the last time he's finished a season below 12 sacks.

From 2020 through 2025, Garrett has had at least 12 sacks in every season. He had 12 in 2020, starting off this incredible six-season streak.

He has then had 16, 16, 14, 14, and now 13 sacks through the first half of Week 11 of the 2025 NFL Season. The four-time First-Team All-Pro defensive lineman has also won a Defensive Player of the Year award.

Garrett has 115.5 sacks in his NFL career, and as he shows no signs of slowing down, the 29-year-old has a chance to set the NFL record.

Bruce Smith finished his NFL career with 200 career sacks. It won't be easy, but Garrett is playing at such a high level, it can't be ruled out.

While he's a ways away from Smith, Garrett did secure some NFL history with his 12th sack of the 2025 season, becoming the only player to record at least 12 sacks in six straight NFL seasons.
