Broncos urged to sign All-Pro WR for Bo Nix

It is no secret that the Denver Broncos need another weapon for Bo Nix in the passing game outside of Courtland Sutton.

With free agency now rolling, the Broncos haven't been big players, but there are still a host of quality players on the market who could help the AFC West franchise in 2026.

The defense, for most, is set. That leaves the offense.

Getting Nix another weapon is a good strategy, and for CBS Sports' Jordan Dajani, he's named landing spots for the top free agents left.

And when it comes to All-Pro receiver Deebo Samuel, he's named Denver as the destination.

"Many have tried to hypothetically pair Deebo Samuel and Sean Payton for years," Dajani wrote. "Now, he's actually available. Payton has often talked about his "Joker" position -- which is a player that can line up anywhere and everywhere on offense, and affect the game in different ways. That's Samuel."

Is Samuel the answer?

Given that he is coming off a season with the Washington Commanders that saw him post 727 yards and 5 TDs from 72 receptions, that is still good production.

Denver could use that.

Plus, with what Deebo can do in the run game, although severely limited in that capacity last season (just 75 yards on 17 carries), that could also appeal to the Broncos.

Used in the right way, Deebo is still a menace for defenses to deal with, and with Sutton alongside him, coupled with Denver's run game, the Broncos could be a nice fit for Samuel.

A cheap, one-year deal could be forthcoming, in what would be a potential low-risk, high-reward for Denver.
