The Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks have been mentioned as the top landing spots for a star running back looking for a fresh start.
Breece Hall's departure from the New York Jets feels inevitable, and CBS Sports' Zachary Pereles believes Denver, Kansas City, and Seattle should pursue the Iowa State product.
Pereles adds his prediction for Hall's next team, the Seahawks:
"Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL in the playoffs, and Kenneth Walker III is set to be a free agent. Hall isn't as elusive as Walker, but he is a smooth operator with some impressive explosiveness, and he's a better pass catcher."
Hall is coming off a solid year in 2025, rushing for 1,065 yards on 4.4 yards per carry with four touchdowns. He also added 36 receptions for 350 yards and a score through the air.
Seattle's running back room could look a lot different next season, as Kenneth Walker is set to hit free agency and Zach Charbonnet will likely miss most of the year due to a torn ACL.
The Seahawks are slated to have $66 million in cap space this offseason, and using some of that money on Hall would be an electric move from general manager John Schneider.
However, don't count out the Broncos or Chiefs in the upcoming Hall sweepstakes.
Denver must bolster their running game this offseason, and pairing Hall with RJ Harvey would give Sean Payton's offense a dynamic duo in the backfield. The Broncos are projected to boast $27 million in cap room.
Kansas City has been interested in acquiring Hall since the 2025 trade deadline, as the Jets' free agent would add an explosive element that Andy Reid's offense is lacking. Though the Chiefs are in a horrid cap situation, they can create some room by restructuring contracts and making cuts.
Spotrac projects Hall will land a four-year deal worth $41.5 million in free agency, which averages to $10.4 million annually. The Seahawks, Broncos, and Chiefs should look to pursue the versatile running back and take their offenses to the next level.
