Yankees' Aaron Judge gets update on elbow injury, WBC status

1 hour ago 3

Aaron Judge is getting ready to play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.

The New York Yankees' 6-foot-7 outfield superstar just needs to make sure his right (throwing) elbow is OK.

Judge missed a chunk of time last season after hurting that elbow, then had to be the designated hitter for a while.

It's obviously not an injury you want your star right fielder dealing with.

Turns out, Judge is doing just fine.

According to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, Judge is "doing really well," with the quote shared on X by MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.

"He looks great," Boone added.

It's good news for the United States team and for the Yankees.

Judge was one of the first players to commit to team USA for the WBC, and his spot on the roster likely helped convince pretty much all the big names to join in.

The United States lost in the 2023 final to Japan and would like to finish the job this time.

The Yanks are also clearly counting on Judge to continue being a superstar after another MVP season in 2025.

Judge has made a statistical case as one of the best right-handed hitters of all time. He's also a quality defensive player.

A healthy right elbow will go a long way for Judge in the long season of baseball to come.
