The Denver Broncos reportedly agreed to a massive blockbuster trade with the Miami Dolphins, acquiring star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle for a strong draft pick haul.
But the deal wasn't official. And with the Las Vegas Raiders missing out on a pair of first-round picks in the Maxx Crosby trade with the Baltimore Ravens after the deal fell through, it was still a little too early to celebrate.
However, as the Broncos announced on Wednesday afternoon, the blockbuster Waddle trade became official. Bo Nix, officially, has a new wide receiver to throw to in 2026 and beyond.
Broncos officially trade for Jaylen Waddle
"OFFICIAL: We've acquired WR Jaylen Waddle," the Broncos announced. "Welcome to #BroncosCountry, @D1__JW!"
Waddle's trade to the Broncos is now official, as a disastrous scenario like what happened for the Ravens and Raiders with Crosby is no longer possible. Waddle's physical went well, and the Broncos are ready to move forward with their new elite WR.
The official trade between the Broncos and Dolphins is as follows: Broncos send pick No. 30, No. 94, and No. 130 in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Dolphins for Jaylen Waddle, and pick No. 111 in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Waddle is officially a Bronco, joining a stacked wide receiver room with Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, and Michael Bandy.

While the Broncos still need to add more help along the interior of the defensive line, and maybe even another tight end, this addition of Waddle resolves the playmaking issue the Broncos have been looking to resolve for some time.
Coming off a 910-yard, six-touchdown season for the Dolphins in his fifth year, Waddle goes from a rebuilding team to one of the top Super Bowl contenders.
This trade is now official, as a Maxx Crosby-esque disaster is no longer in play for the blockbuster Waddle trade between the Dolphins and Broncos.
