"Bro is washed": NFL fans react as Patrick Mahomes gets picked off by Colts' Laiatu Latu on second offensive play

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having an uneasy start to the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Colts defensive end Laiatu Latu intercepted a pass by Mahomes on the Chiefs’ second offensive play.

The interception started a touchdown drive for the Colts, with Daniel Jones sending a 6-yard touchdown pass to Michael Pittman. Expectedly, NFL fans are sharing reactions to the play, especially on X.

Patrick Mahomes takes responsibility for the Chiefs’ inconsistency

The Chiefs were 5-5 coming into Sunday’s game against the Colts, with the team struggling with consistency this campaign. Of course, this puts a spotlight on Patrick Mahomes, who has also not shied away from taking responsibility for the Chiefs’ slow pace.

He said ahead of Sunday’s game:

“I think we’re really talented, and we’ve got a lot of great players, but it’s about being more consistent. I think it starts with me. There’s times where I’m firing and we’re moving the ball down the field at ease. But there’s times where we go in spurts where I miss a throw or a [pass] protection call. We haven’t been consistent enough to win games. It starts with me.”

For Travis Kelce, however, the Chiefs’ sense of urgency is what needs to be worked on. The veteran tight end said:

“There needs to be a sense of urgency to get that s**t done and to be proficient with how you’re getting it done.”

The Chiefs are third in the AFC West, with a significant gap between them and the Chargers ahead and the Raiders below them.
