Chris Jericho has once more gone viral on the internet after he was spotted with a popular WWE Superstar during a major event. This comes amidst speculation that he could leave AEW and return to the Stamford-based promotion.

Jericho has not been seen since April, at AEW Dynasty, where he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido. He has not been seen or directly mentioned in any capacity since then. His absence was due to his band, Fozzy, going on a world tour, and also a way for him to take some time off from competing in the ring.

Chris Jericho recently took to Instagram to post a photo seemingly at an NHL game that he took with current WWE Superstar Kevin Owens, someone he knew all too well. The two were a duo almost a decade ago, and were two of the biggest attractions on the roster, especially with Jericho's hilarious gimmick at the time.

Several AEW names have shown support for the post and liked this on Instagram. The likes of Britt Baker, Renee Paquette, Paul Wight, Adam Copeland, and Sammy Guevara were among these. Baker even left a comment under the post, calling Jericho and Owens her "favs".

Chris Jericho clarifies he is still signed to AEW

As of writing, there is no indication of where Chris Jericho will be headed next amidst his imminent contract expiry. This is set to be up by the end of 2025, and there have not been any reports of any negotiations taking place.

While speaking on NHL on TNT, he spoke about some matches he's had and names he's faced in the ring. He shared how in AEW, they had someone like Jon Moxley who was a bit eccentric. The interesting part was his labeling the Tony Khan-led company as the place where he currently works.

“It’s hard to say, but I had a ladder match with Shawn Michaels and that one was a really great kind of culmination to the good guy and bad guy dynamic. And then in AEW, where I work now, we got this guy Jon Moxley, he’s a little bit off his rocker."- [H/T Ringside News]

Chris Jericho referred to AEW during his appearance on NHL on TNT as a place as a place where he works now.

This confirms that, as things stand, Chris Jericho is still with AEW and that won't change until his deal is up. It remains to be seen if he re-signs or ends up going back to WWE.
