The Boston Red Sox are struggling at the moment. They came into Friday's doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles 25-26 and in third place in the American League East.
The team is in a predicament at first base. Triston Casas is out for the season, and Rafael Devers was unwilling to move to first base.
As such, Boston finds themselves in the market for a potential upgrade.
Bob Nightengale noted that Rhys Hoskins could be a good fit, and Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report believes the fit is ideal.
"This wasn't a report but rather Nightengale's opinion. Still, it's very easy to imagine a pull hitter with power like Hoskins thriving at Fenway Park."

Hoskins is having a resurgent year for the Milwaukee Brewers. The 32-year-old slugger is hitting .292/.393/.487 with seven home runs, 27 RBI and an .880 OPS.
He struggled in 2024 after signing a two-year, $34 million contract. But if the Brewers end up selling pieces off at the trade deadline this summer, Boston could be an easy fit for Hoskins.
Right-handed power hitters tend to thrive at Fenway Park thanks in large part to the Green Monster, and putting Hoskins in Boston would allow him to play in a ballpark that is accommodating to his swing.
Hoskins also has postseason experience as well. He helped guide the Philadelphia Phillies to the World Series in 2022 and was part of last year's National League Central champion Brewers squad.
It will be interesting to see if Boston can find a fit for the veteran slugger.
