Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr. projected for epic 2026 MLB season

The Toronto Blue Jays lost Bo Bichette and didn't get Kyle Tucker.

It's still a great roster, and they still made some key offseason acquisitions, but it's as clear as ever: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is going to have to lead from the front.

Good thing Vladdy is more than capable.

He put together a monster postseason on the run to Game 7 of the World Series, and now he's primed to follow that up.

MLB.com's David Adler broke down some player projections for the season ahead, and Guerrero is predicted for some monster numbers.

Some of the stats Adler singled out in the Vladdy projection: .299 batting average, .532 slugging percentage, .954 OPS and 32 home runs.

And that's just a projection, which means if Guerrero exceeds expectations, he could have an even bigger season.

"Guerrero, who was good for the Blue Jays during the 2025 regular season but beyond great in the playoffs, is projected to keep that scorching hot postseason run going in 2026 as the fifth-best hitter in the bigs," Adler writes.

During the regular season in 2025, Guerrero had an .848 OPS, still really good but a notch down from his .940 OPS in 2024.

In the playoff small sample size, Guerrero had a 1.289 OPS. He was on fire.

The Blue Jays would love to see Guerrero be as locked in as can be from the start of this season. It would give them a great chance to put together another special season, maybe one ending on top this time.
