Breece Hall stirred up social media on Tuesday after posting a one-emoji message after Sauce Gardner was traded to the Indianapolis Colts. The post came just minutes after news broke that New York was parting ways with its All-Pro cornerback.

The Jets running back posted a flushed face emoji on X before deleting the tweet and fans shared their reactions.

“Blud thinks he’s the main character I’m crine,” one fan wrote.

“Bro got the PS5 already boxed up,” another fan wrote. “Trade deadline done, and Breece’s face says, ‘I’m with the Jets send help or a therapist,’” a fan said.

Here are more fan reactions.

“YOU NOT GOING NOWHERE MISTUH HALL,” one fan commented. “LMAOOO THEY KEEPING U LOCKED UP,” another fan commented. “Bros sad he gotta stick around,” one fan said.

The Jets sent Gardner to Indianapolis in a blockbuster deal in exchange for two first-round draft picks and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell.

Hall was a frequent topic of trade speculation throughout the fall. He has produced 581 rushing yards and two touchdowns through eight games, along with 21 receptions for 178 yards in a struggling offense.

New York wasn’t done dealing before the deadline. Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was shipped to the Dallas Cowboys in another move, bringing the Jets a third first-round selection across two trades. The departures of Sauce Gardner and Williams underscored that Jets manager Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn are preparing to overhaul the roster in 2026.

Breece Hall’s reaction wasn’t his first cryptic post. The running back previously shared a GIF of Anthony Anderson rubbing the wall in the film "Life."

The Kansas City Chiefs were among the teams linked to Hall in trade rumors before the deadline. NFL analyst Brett Kollman urged Chiefs manager Brett Veach on X to “get in on that” if the Jets were listening to offers.

Meanwhile, another analyst, FanSided's Wynston Wilcox, projected that Hall would draw no more than a mid-round draft pick if traded. He cited the league’s declining market for running backs.
