"Texas has no chance of making it": CFB fans divided over latest College Football Playoff projections after Week 10 showdown

ESPN released its College Football Playoff projections after Week 10 on Tuesday. The unbeaten duo of the Indiana Hoosiers and Ohio State Buckeyes led the way with a 99% chance each.

Another unbeaten team, Texas A&M, ranked third with a 96% chance, followed by Alabama with a 93% chance. Ole Miss, Oregon, BYU, Texas and others followed.

Fans on social media shared their reactions to the latest College Football Playoff projections.

"Texas has no chance of making it," one tweeted.

"54% is high for Texas lol they would have to beat Georgia and Texas A&M. I don’t see how their odds aren’t any different from Georgia Techs. Unless the thought process is Texas would be in no matter what happens if they reach the SEC championship. And the ACC is a 1 bid league," another added. "Texas at -200 not to make the playoffs btw," a third commented.

As things stand, Texas has a 54% chance of making it to the playoffs. Nonetheless, after Week 10, there are still several teams in the running for this year's College Football Playoff.

Steve Sarkisian's Texas beat Vanderbilt 34-31 in Week 10. Longhorns QB Arch Manning had a solid outing, completing 25 of 33 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns.

However, the Longhorns have a challenging run of upcoming games. The face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, before hosting Arkansas.

Texas will close its regular season by hosting cross-town rival Texas A&M on Nov. 28.
