Bills trade rumor from Yahoo Sports reveals Buffalo's urgency for deadline moves

The Buffalo Bills have several needs to address ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, but it remains to be seen how much they'll actually get done.

General manager Brandon Beane has to walk the tightrope of the Bills' tight salary cap situation, which got at least a tiny bit of relief on Monday after Buffalo restructured cornerback Taron Johnson to free up $1.75 million more.

That hints the Bills are lining up to do something.

With the trade deadline just hours away, Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reports that the injury to defensive end Michael Hoecht has raised the Bills' urgency level to do something after it was "modest at best" beforehand.

Prior to Sunday’s game, the Bills’ determination to have an active deadline was modest at best. There was motivation to add a wideout if a veteran starter bargain presented itself. Now you can add pass rushing depth to that list of needs inside a season where the Bills have a very real shot to track down the No. 1 seed in the AFC and finally get over their postseason complex against the Chiefs.

Hoecht suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday's win over the Kansas City Chiefs, which is just the latest devastating blow to Buffalo's group upfront.

The Bills are also navigating the losses of Ed Oliver and DeWayne Carter for the season, and T.J. Sanders is on injured reserve and DaQuan Jones is banged-up.

Along with interior defensive line and edge rusher, the Bills could look at wideout, cornerback and safety with no shortage of issues at those three positions. Linebacker is another one to keep an eye on.

Of course, adding to all six of those positions will be impossible to do given the Bills' cap situation, but even just improving two of them would be a win.
