The Buffalo Bills are looking at a Week 18 without much to play for.
They're also dealing with an injury to superstar quarterback Josh Allen.
So what are they going to do?
More and more, it looks like Allen is going to sit.
He didn't practice Thursday for the second consecutive day because of his injured foot. It's shaping up for him to rest in Week 18 against the Jets in favor of backup QB Mitchell Trubisky.
Although there's one problem with that: Allen has started 139 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL.

There's a loophole way for the Bills to approach this, though. All Allen has to do is play the first snap of the game to extend the streak.
That's what he did last season, taking the field for the opening snap before trotting off the field with a smile on his face.
It seems safe to expect Allen to do that again this year.
The Bills certainly need to prioritize Allen's health for the playoffs, and it appears that's what they're doing.
If they can extend his streak in a foolproof way in the process, all the better.
