Bills have bought playoff 'lottery ticket' according to Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills have been one of the most consistent regular-season teams over the last five or so years.

Since 2019, Buffalo has seven straight 10+ win seasons (including this year) and six straight playoff appearances (seven this season).

That sort of record isn't easy to come by, and not many teams accomplish that. Yes, the Bills have failed to take advantage of that, with no Super Bowl appearance, but still, that record is nothing to sneeze at.

And for Josh Allen, he has an interesting take on Buffalo's consistent ability to make the playoffs.

“I think the way that I put it in terms is to win the lottery, you got to buy a ticket,” Allen said. “To win a Super Bowl, you got to make the playoffs, getting into the playoffs is our ticket. Now, what we do with that is up to us.

"At the end of the day, we want to come out, and take it one game at a time, still have that backs against the wall mentality and try to play our best football going into it.”

Bills face huge Eagles clash

With the playoffs already secured, the Bills are now working to get the highest possible seeding.

The AFC East is still within reach, but the Bills need to win out, and the New England Patriots need to stumble badly.

So, there is still plenty on the line in Week 17 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Win, and the hope of another AFC East title remains alive, along with announcing to the NFL world that they are to be taken for real after slaying an NFC heavyweight.

After failing so many times in the postseason, is this the year that the Bills finally break through and win their first Super Bowl?

They have their ticket in the lottery, and that's all you can ask for.
