The wrestling world recently lost one of the biggest names that the industry has seen in history, when WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away. For decades, the legend stood as the face of professional wrestling, carrying WWE through the years and later changing the industry again with some incredible storylines. Following his death, Netflix announced that a docuseries was set to be released on the veteran’s life, his rise to global fame, and the chapter that closed his legendary career.
Netflix’s Vice President of Sports, Gabe Spitzer, recently spoke with Varsity about the upcoming docuseries that fans have been waiting for. He shared that Hogan was filmed closely during his final time, which gave the team a rare chance to capture real moments instead of just old memories. The main goal of the company is to show the real man behind the icon.
He revealed that the documentary will feature more than 20 hours of unseen footage recorded around Hogan’s final days, which could end up being one of the most emotional way to give a tribute to the legendary name.

Jake Paul battled Anthony Joshua in a massive match at the Kayesa Centre in Miami. While Paul ended up getting destroyed, he made headlines with his tribute to Hulk Hogan during the battle. Paul wore an outfit that was inspired by the iconic yellow and red theme of the Hulkster, which ended up being quite an emotional touch for fans around the world. Time will tell how Netflix pays tribute to the legend with their docuseries.
