English broadcaster and journalist Piers Morgan has slammed Glamour Magazine for its recently released 2025 Women of the Year issue. The 60-year-old media personality took to X, formerly Twitter and called out the magazine for featuring nine transgender models on the cover of their latest issue, which was released this week on Wednesday.
On Friday, October 30, 2025, Piers Morgan shared the cover of Glamour Magazine’s 2025 “Women of the Year” issue on X and wrote:
“Nine biological men being declared ‘Women of the Year’ by Glamour magazine is beyond parody even by ludicrous woke virtue-signalling standards… and, I suspect, the beginning of the end for Glamour magazine.”Meanwhile, Piers Morgan released a controversial book, titled Woke Is Dead: How Common Sense Triumphed in an Age of Total Madness, on October 23, 2025. According to Attitude, he dedicated a whole chapter to trans identities as well as gender-affirming policies.
While Piers Morgan reportedly attacked the LGBTQ+ community in the book, a news release states:
“This new book is about how and why the woke mind virus infected so many minds, to the point of widespread insanity.”In his book, Piers Morgan also praised JK Rowling for her gender-critical views. The British writer described her as a “brave woman” for her beliefs, adding:
“She is the one who’s on the right side of history.”In Woke Is Dead: How Common Sense Triumphed in an Age of Total Madness, the journalist also reportedly adressed topics like women in sport, the UK Supreme Court Ruling about the legal definition of a woman, and more. Piers Morgan also mocked English singer-songwriter Sam Smith for their nonbinary identity.
JK Rowling calls out Glamour Magazine for 2025 “Women of the Year” cover
Piers Morgan was not the only one who attacked Glamour Magazine for the cover of their 2025 “Women of the Year” issue. British author JK Rowling also addressed her disapproval on the social media platform X.
On October 30, the 60-year-old philanthropist wrote:
“I grew up in an era when mainstream women’s magazines told girls they needed to be thinner and prettier. Now mainstream women’s magazines tell girls that men are better women than they are.”I grew up in an era when mainstream women’s magazines told girls they needed to be thinner and prettier. Now mainstream women’s magazines tell girls that men are better women than they are.
The Harry Potter author is known to be a longtime advocate for fighting for women’s rights. JK Rowling has also received backlash for her public statements on gender identity, including LGBTQ rights groups, fans, and Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

According to Glamour UK, the cover of their latest issue features “nine of the community’s most ground-breaking voices”, including Munroe Bergdorf, Maxine Heron, Taira, Munya, Bel Priestley, Dani St. James, Ceval Omar, Mya Mehmi, and Shon Faye under the headlines “The Dolls” and “Women of the Year.” They work across fashion, music, publishing and activism.
For the unversed, the UK Supreme Court handed down a judgment in April excluding trans women from the definition of “women” in the context of the Equality Act 2010. This also reportedly excludes those trans women who had changed their legal sex by means of a Gender Recognition Certificate.
