One of AEW's most beloved stars and top heels, Kyle Fletcher, celebrates a personal milestone today.
Kyle Fletcher is among the fastest-rising talents in All Elite Wrestling's history. The former TNT champion, who joined Tony Khan's promotion in 2022, has, in a very short time, established himself as one of the company's leading heel performers and is aligned with the Don Callis Family, arguably the most dominant faction in the Jacksonville-based promotion. His TNT title reign lasted over 100 days, during which the Aussie star set a record for the most defenses of the championship before ultimately losing it to Mark Briscoe at All Out 2025. Today is a day to celebrate the Protostar as he turns 27.
To commemorate the occasion, AEW posted a birthday message for the Aussie star on X.
"Happy Birthday! "Protostar" @kylefletcherpro 🎁", wrote AEWCheck out their post on X below:
Kyle Fletcher on signing a new deal with AEW
In a recent appearance on Chris Van Vliet's Insight, Kyle Fletcher revealed that he had signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. The Protostar said it was a surreal moment for him, given the circumstances surrounding his first deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
“I did. Yeah. This year. Man, it felt really cool. I was on a beach in Jamaica when I signed my contract — It was pretty surreal. It was one of those moments that I thought about my whole life, signing that first big deal. I gave me a bit of like — I hate throwing around big buzz words — but imposter syndrome,” he said. [H/T - Ringside News]Next up for Fletcher is a meeting with Jon Moxley in the Continental Classic Tournament's semi-finals at the upcoming Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view. Time will tell whether the Protostar can get past the Purveyor of Violence.
