"I kind of knew after last night that going into today, I could lock up my spot. I knew that's what I was playing for today. I just told my dad before I went on the court I said, you know, I got a chance to control my own destiny and there's no way I'm going down today," he said [at 00:18].Ben Shelton joins Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz in the ATP Finals field with only two other spots open.
