The Ben Johnson era for the Chicago Bears hasn't gotten off to the best of starts, with the NFC North team sitting at 0-2 after giving up over 50 points to the Detroit Lions in Week 2.
Up next is a Dallas Cowboys team quite capable of hanging 30+ on this Bears defense, so there won't be any respite for Chicago, and if it doesn't get itself sorted out this week, 0-3 is a real possibility, and the season takes on a whole new look.
But when reflecting on what went wrong against the Lions, Johnson listed how his team simply wasn't good enough, which he included the coaching staff, he was then asked if there were players who needed to practice better, and he delivered what the young kids call a "self-burn" in his response.
"I think our practice habits are yet to reflect a championship caliber team," Johnson said.

Are practice habits a reflection of Johnson's coaching?
Hold up, Mr. Johnson.
As a head coach, one would think that you are responsible for setting the standards in practice and upholding them. So, isn't it your job to make sure that the practice habits are those of a championship team?
Look at Brian Schottenheimer and the Cowboys. The first-time head coach has made it one of his goals to make sure the team learns how to practice properly, and while they are 1-1, Dallas has looked good for the most part (defense against the Giants aside).
For me, this all comes down to what Johnson is teaching the Bears, and if the practice standards aren't up to his standards, then that reflects on his ability as a head coach to get the locker room practicing the way he wants.
The buck starts and stops with the head coach, folks.
