Missouri fans have received an update on the injury status of their quarterback, Beau Pribula. According to a tweet by college football insider Pete Thamel, he might make a return during this Saturday's showdown against the No.8 Oklahoma Sooners.

"Sources: Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula is on track to return and start at No.8 Oklahoma on Saturday, as he looked good in Missouri's practice today. He's returning from a dislocated ankle on Oct.25 at Vanderbilt, as he's missed the last two games," Thamel tweeted.

Beau Pribula spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career with the Penn State Nittany Lions. He served as a backup option to starter Drew Allar. He played in 24 games and recorded 424 yards and nine touchdowns passing.

Pribula entered the transfer portal in December 2024 and joined the Missouri Tigers. He competed with Sam Horn for the starting quarterback job and won it after Horn suffered a broken tibia in Week 1 against Central Arkansas.

However, last month, Beau Pribula dislocated his ankle during his team's 17-10 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores. This led to him missing out on the past two games for the Tigers, who brought in Matt Zollers as his replacement, who has a 1-1 record.

This season, in eight games, Pribula has tallied 1,685 yards and 11 TDs passing, while rushing for 220 yards and five touchdowns.

Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz provides an update on Beau Pribula's injury

On Tuesday, Eli Drinkwitz talked about Pribula's injury rehabilitation.

He said that the quarterback was making good progress. However, considering the Oklahoma defense, Drinkwitz highlighted that the best decision would be not to play him on Saturday.

"Pribula is currently working through his rehab process," Drinkwitz said as per On3. "With the oversight of doctors and training staff, we're going through a protocol. He has been allowed to practice with certain limitations. ... We'll see how he progresses this week, and you will be updated on the SEC Media report. "In knowing how aggressive (the Oklahoma defense) is, it would be the betterment of our team and Beau to not put him out there if he's not able to play up to his level. We'll circle him first and make sure his mental process is where it needs to be, and that's if he clears the protocol with several doctors and trainers."

The Missouri Tigers (7-3, 3-3 SEC) are ranked No.23 in the AP Top 25 heading into Saturday's game against Oklahoma (8-2, 4-2 SEC).
