Bayern Munich are set to be one of the most active teams in the upcoming transfer window. They are keen to make wholesale changes to their roster as Vincent Kompany aims to reinforce in all departments.

The Bavarians suffered a lot throughout the season due to their underwhelming defensive display. Hence, they are reportedly looking to fortify their backline before making changes in midfield and attack. They are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah to strengthen their backline.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern have agreed terms with Leverkusen to sign Tah this summer. The 29-year-old will be out of contract in June and may join the club on a free transfer.

However, the Rekordmeister are still waiting for confirmation from the German international. As per reports, he is also wanted by Real Madrid and Barcelona

Kompany is a big admirer of  Tah and feels that his experience and skills will provide great depth to Bayern to maintain their dominance in Germany while also putting up a strong fight in European competitions.

The Bavarians have already lost Eric Dier, who has joined AS Monaco after his contract ended with the German outfit. Also, within the club, people aren't satisfied with Kim Min-jae's performances in recent times and is reportedly one of the top candidates to leave Bavaria this summer.

Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign Jonathan Tah

As per reports on Ransport, Bayern are offering Tah around €12m gross salary per year. This is reportedly the same salary that they offered him last summer. They are in no mood to increase their salary for the German international.

However, they are willing to pay a €15 million signing fee to the free agent. People within the club reportedly believe that they are in pole position to land the 29-year-old centre-back.

While Bayern Munich are gaining momentum in signing the German defender,  Real Madrid and Barcelona are also monitoring the situation closely and remain interested in him.

His current manager at Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso is all set to move to Real Madrid. The Spaniard has allegedly demanded a few players from the Madrid management, and Tah is one of the players on his wishlist.

Similarly, given Barcelona's financial constraints, they are looking to rope in Tah this summer, making him the most in-demand defender. Hansi Flick is a big admirer of the 29-year-old and wants him at Camp Nou. Tah can be the perfect replacement for Ronald Araujo, who has fallen down the pecking order in recent times and may leave this summer.
