Bayern Munich sealed the 2024/25 Bundesliga crown a couple of matchdays ago when Bayer Leverkusen were held to a draw by SC Freiburg. The Bavarians lifted the prestigious shield last week with a 2-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
This was the first title that they had won under manager Vincent Kompany, and surprisingly, it was also the first career trophy for star striker Harry Kane.
The Englishman played a pivotal role in helping Bayern reclaim the Bundesliga after finishing third last season.
The 31-year-old marksman is the top contender to clinch the Bundesliga top scorer's award. He has been the most consistent player for the German champions.
However, to everyone's shock, former Bayern Munich star midfielder and club legend Lothar Matthaus didn't pick Kane in his 2024/25 Bundesliga Team of the Season.
He picked four Bayern players, including the likes of Dayot Upamecano, Michael Olise, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala.

Matthaus selected Borussia Dortmund marksman Serhou Guirassy and ex-Eintracht Frankfurt forward Oman Marmoush as his two strikers in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for this term. However, both have lower goals per 90 metric than Kane.
A look at Harry Kane's exceptional numbers in 2024/25 Bundesliga
Kane has hammered 25 goals and provided seven assists in 30 Bundesliga games this season. He is the prime contender for the top scorer's award with a game to spare. Dortmund's Guirassy is in second spot with 20 goals, and other than a miracle, the Guinean has no chance of stealing the award from Kane.

He won the award last year aswell when he scored 36 goals but couldn't help Bayern win the Bundesliga.
The Englishman will most probably finish with the highest goal involvement this season in the Bundesliga. His tally of 32 goal involvements, which include seven assists, is currently the highest.
Interestingly, Bayern haven't lost a game in which Kane has started. Whenever named in the starting eleven, the German champions have won 22 matches and drawn six. They are yet to lose a Bundesliga game with Kane in the starting lineup.
As per Statmuse, Kane has registered 0.94 goals/90 minutes. Only Leverkusen's Patrik Schick, with 1.04 goals/90 minutes, is higher than him in the 2024/25 Bundesliga. However, Guirassy with 0.72 and Marmoush with 0.93 have lower goals/90 metric than the Englishman.
