Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi, according to journalist Matteo Moretto (via Barca Universal). The LaLiga giants have made enquiries about the Argentine defender, who has been playing for the Cherries since 2022.
Senesi joined Bournemouth in September 2022 from Feyenoord for a reported fee of €15 million. Since then, he has played 106 games for the Cherries across all competitions, solidifying his place as an integral part of the Premier League side.
Marcos Senesi has made 16 appearances for Bournemouth in the Premier League this season, helping the side keep five clean sheets and providing three assists. However, his contract with the side will expire at the end of the season, and Senesi is expected to leave the club as a free agent.
According to Transfermarkt, Senesi is currently valued at €22 million. Barcelona, who are keen on signing a left-footed replacement for Inigo Martinez, are keeping tabs on the 28-year-old and are aiming to sign him on a free transfer.
Barcelona are also expected to offload Andreas Christensen next summer when his contract expires. The former Chelsea star, who has missed more than 50 games for club and country since last summer due to injuries, suffered a ligament tear during a practice session earlier this week.

Since joining the Catalan club, Rashford has made 24 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists. The 28-year-old has remarked that he wants to steer La Blaugrana to more titles. He said (via Barca Blaugranes):
"Of course, what I want is to stay at Barca. It's my end goal, but it's not the reason why I'm training hard and giving it my best. The purpose is to win. Barca is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles." "I'm adapting very well to the club and the city. From the moment I arrived, I felt that everyone welcomed me very well," he added.Hansi Flick has also been happy with Rashford's performance for the Spanish giants. However, the club's financial woes may restrict its ability to offer the Englishman a permanent deal.
