BACKSTAGE VIDEO: Dominik Mysterio seemingly heartbroken after huge breakup

Dominik Mysterio is one of the youngest and most talented stars on the WWE roster today. He currently holds both the WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Championship simultaneously. He recently competed at the AAA Guerra de Titanes event alongside El Grande Americano against the team of Rey Mysterio and Fenix. Mysterio and Americano failed to win and the duo subtly broke up after the match.

El Grande Americano has helped out Dirty Dom win his matches a lot this year. The duo gained widespread popularity in Mexico following WWE's acquisition of AAA Lucha Libre. The duo was oruginally schedule to face the reunited Lucha Brothers but since Penta was injured, Rey Mysterio replaced him in the match. After a little help from Penta, Mysterio and Fenix picked up the win to close off the show.

However, Dominik was furious at Americano after their loss and when Americano tried to lift him up, he pushed him away and left. Despite Dominik leaving, El Grande Americano shook hands with Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix before leaving. Lucha Libre AAA has now shared a backstage video of Dominik Mysterio looking at Americano show his respect to their opponents. The AAA Mega Champion looked very heartbroken in the video possibly confirming the duo's breakup.

It will be interesting to see what's next for Dominik following the end of his partnership with El Grande Americano.

Dominik Mysterio recently reunited with Liv Morgan

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan became a duo last year after Dom betrayed Rhea to help Liv retain the Women's World Championship. Liv had been out of action for the past few months due to an injury she suffered in the summer. She made her return at last month's Survivor Series: WarGames PLE.

Dominik faced John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship at the event in the final PLE match of Cena's career. During the match, Liv's music played and she came out to punch Dominik. Everyone thought that Liv had turned on Dominik but instead she actually helped Dom win the title by attacking Cena afterwards and revealing her attack on Dom to be a ruse.

Fans loved to see this reunion in Dominik's hometown of San Diego.
