A popular WWE Superstar might have suffered a brutal nose injury on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The star was in action in a title match. The name in question is DIY's Johnny Gragano.
After dethroning Ilja Dragunov as the United States Champion, Carmelo Hayes put his title on the line for the first time on WWE TV on this week's SmackDown. The former NXT star locked horns with Johnny Gargano in a singles match for the title. Both stars put on an incredible display of action inside the squared circle, and for the most part, it was a back-and-forth affair.
In the last stages of the bout, it seemed like Gargano would go home with the win. However, Hayes turned the tide in his favor after hitting his opponent with the First 48 and then Nothing But Net to retain the United States Championship via pinfall.
Later in the show, Johnny Gargano was seen talking to his wife, Candice LeRae, backstage. During this segment, the DIY star asked LeRae if his nose looked broken, as he felt it was.
"Is it broken? It feels broken," he said.It remains to be seen if Johnny Gragano is actually injured or if it is only a part of a WWE storyline.
